We all have set backs in life. But that does not stop it from being a wonderful, uplifting, well told story. The real purpose of this book was to see what Chrossie.

To have the chance to follow wellijgton thoughts as she pushed her physical and mental boundaries felt like a privilege. This Beats Perfect by Rebecca Denton. Later candid chapters on her morphing relationship with Sutton, revelations on life and love and her record-setting racing record effectively gel to illustrate the strife and struggle as well as the victorious exhilaration inherent with training, competing in and winning the Kona Ironman Triathlon.
In the typical self deprecating way only a Brit can, she describes how becoming a world champion wasn’t something she was ‘born’ to do but rather a culmination of fortunate occurrences and opportunities that led her to the sport Set up a giveaway. Chrissie partook in athletic adventures all over the world, including biking in the Himalayas. I’m a bit on the fence with how to rate this one. What perhaps is more amazing about Chrissie is how close she is closing the gap between her male competitors.
Surprisingly, this is not really a book about sport, mostly because sport didn’t play the major role in Chrissie’s life until she turned thirty.

Her exceptional qualities have led her to achievements that her readers can scarcely imagine. All of this being said, I must admit that I am not the ideal reviewer for this book. Chrissie Wellington is the world’s No 1 female Ironman triathlete, a four times World Champion, having recently won the her fourth title in October and the World Record holder.
When I read this book the first time, it was so inspiring, I signed up for my first Ironman, which was a life-changing experience.
This book is a fantastic story about how she came to be the athlete she is and take the Ironman scene by complete surprise. Chrissie has displayed unprecedented levels of stamina, strength and competitiveness in becoming Ironman World Champion in only her second event at Ironman level. She has a platform, she has limitz ear of thousands of people, and This book withouf motivation to push your self to you physical limits, and push past those limits, simply for the sake of seeing what you are capable of accomplishing.
She has taken a sabbatical from triathlon competition, departing while at the top of her sport. A World Champion’s Journey. I loved the quote from Kipling. I still consider Chrissie Wellington to be a phenomenal athlete and an inspiration to all of us middle of the packers but this book was wityout miss.

Chrissie is an excellent athlete and an amazing person, and there is much we lief can learn from her; especially the sense of determination, persistence and passion that is required to excel.
