The idea is to continually open yourself to experiencing the world aesthetically – a powerful path to self-transformation. So we must not transfer’will’ simple-mindedly from human actions to the whole of nature. However, his pessimism succeeds in advancing something less extreme and wholly believable which is to think that we are meant to suffer.
